In short: great race, shame about the weather
In full: I'm biased as I got a PB but what a great race. Flat apart from a slight incline in the first kilometre. Out and back course with spectators who stood out in the rain to keep you going. This is my local 10k, so I WILL do next year's. Did I mention the home made cakes and coffee at the end? Lovely

In short: tough hills, but I finished
In full: First comment I make has to be about the marshalls, because foruthe whole two hours and 40 minutes I was running and walking, the encouragement and Jelly Babies never stopped.
It's a tough race, make no bones about it. If you haven't trained for hills (note to self for next year), you WILL have a hard time.
The first bit of the race, through the estate isn't scenic at all, cut once you get out of town, prepare for the wow factor. I would certainly run it again and find some hills to run up! My legs hurt

In short: hard going muddy fun
In full: Near 7.5 miles of deep mud, chest deep water and tough hills. Proud of just finishing but need some trail shoes for next year. I might stay upright for a bit longer. Marshallls all friendly, organisation spot on. Good fun

In short: issues with numbers not turning up but good race
In full: There were problems before the start, as the numbers didn't turn up, so people had to be manually matched with their chip. No fault of the organisers but led to big queues and C delayed start. The race itself was excellent, very scenic, and challenging for a relative beginner like me.
I missed my PB by one minute, on a course that was by no means flat. Gives me confidence for my next flat race.

Just wish I could fix my back. I'll be back again

In short: great race, friendly marshalls but the car parking needs work
In full: My third HM, and a PB for me. I'll start with the good points. Marshalls incredibly supportive and happy, despite the cold. Racing on Silverstone itself is great for a motor racing fan. Seven minutes to get over the start line, and a PB at the end.. sneaky slope up to the finish too.

The only thing that needs fixing is the car park at the end of the race. Organisation getting in great, getting out, not so much. Over an hour of not moving an inch and on marshalls in sight followed by a four hour drive home isn't good. Made for a late night home. I'd still do the race again though

In short: worth the trip
In full: We had a five hour round trip from North Devon to get up for this race. It was worth it for me as I got a PB. Course relatively flat with the occasional small hill. Marshals very friendly and encouraging when I went past them. The industrial estate bit was made a bit better with the band at the entrance. I'd probably do the race again if my missus would agree to another 5.30 start

In short: I'll be back next year
In full: This was my first ever half marathon, and it's given me the long distance bug. Brilliant from start to finish. Great venue, well organised, friendly marshals and wine. I'm there next year. Only thing I learned was that the black Spiderman costume I wore wasn't the best in 30 degree heat! PB potential will go after the first wine stop but I'm definitely going to apply again next year, maybe even do the marathon
