In short: Wet Wet Wet but great fun In full: This was my first time doing the Reading Half and I will definitely be back next year. Yes the weather was awful and very wet but I have trained many times in weather conditions like this so I was prepared. I thought all the people out there stood in it, Marshall's, supporters etc were brilliant! Finishing in the stadium was awesome!!! What a great way to finish a race. The end of the race was hard work, all the baggage tents where flooded etc and the queue for the buses back to the station was horrendous in the rain. I was only 3mins off getting a PB so I will be back next year to put that right! Thank you Reading Date of review: March 18, 2013

In short: Excellent Half!! In full: I am surprised to see some of the negative comments here. I wondered if I ran a different race. I absolutley loved this half marathon. From the moment I arrived at the station it felt very organised. Sign posted all the way to the runners village. Overall I felt it was quite flat with a few little challenges along the way. The crowds were brilliant. I thought the goodie bags were good too. I got a PB which I wasnt at all expecting so I will most definitely will be back next year. Date of review: March 7, 2013

2013 Wrap Up And Run Milton Keynes 10K

In short: Not bad at all! In full: I really enjoyed this 10K. It was was quite a treck for me to travel to but it was the best 10K I have ran in a while in terms of performance. It was a very cold day and the route was all open space but I just manned up and got on with it. I would imagine on a warmer/sunnier day it would be lovely race running by the lake. I thought that it was very well organised, the girls from age UK were great and very helpful. I do agree with another comment on here that if 1000 people did turn up for this race I think it would have been over croweded and possibly not as enjoyable. Not sure I will be back to do it again but still enjoyed taking part. Date of review: March 7, 2013

In short: I actually did this in 2011 In full: I did this race yesterday. The only real hick up was that the start of the race was delayed by 20mins. Which may not seem so bad how ever it was pouring with rain!! The rain did not stop for a single second. Despite this I enjoyed the race. It is challenging and the hills are evil. I found it hard to get a steady pace going. The race marshalls where fantastic I was very impressed by them considering the weather. Plenty of drink stations through out. Would possibly like to do it again next year with better weather, although it didn't stop me from enjoying my ice lolly at the end! Date of review: June 13, 2011

In short: A great race to experience In full: My first half marathon and one I will remember for the rest of my life. Being from the North East I felt very proud to be apart of this race. Great race from start to finish and I have to agree the Red Arrows flew across as I crossed the finish line, looking forward to doing it again this year Date of review: May 24, 2011
