In short: Fast friendly and fabulous!
In full: My second marathon after Windermere hence the 100% for PB! The hill at Parliament Street wasn't nearly as bad as I'd been led to believe. The frequency of water stations was perfect and there were plenty of gels and sports drinks on offer too.

The support was fantastic. The charity teams, especially the Alzheimers cheerers were really funny and made me smile as they all cheered my name as if I was one of their own family! It wasn't just "come on, you're doing really great" but more personal, funny words of encouragement. This makes a massive difference when you're struggling.

The people of Liverpool should be proud, as should the organisers. I really can't fault this race. There was no goody bag but an energy bar, fantastic tec-tshirt, fruit, drinks and an awesome medal made up for that. I absolutely recommend this race to anyone!

In short: Hills? What hills? I was looking at the views!
In full: The venue-beautiful. The support-immense. The hills? Ok, there were one or two but I found on the most part that you were swiftly rewarded with a little downhill so nothing too bad. It was my first marathon and I'm so glad I picked Windermere. Even the police found time to encourage us even though they were busy doing a fabulous job controlling traffic. I really really can't fault this race and it has carved a beautiful place in my memory. Thanks to everyone who helped out and well done to the truly inspiring 10 in 10ers. I'll be back :-)
