In short: Chip timing added to the event. This is simply the best half marathon. Organisation and marshalling of the highest order, no serious hills, beautiful countryside, great buzz, well supported where it goes through the villages and only £8 to enter

In short: Really nice afternoon race. Great family atmosphere as the main event follows the junior races. Yes there's a hill, but it is not a mountain!

In short: This was my race of the year for 2012 and it remains right up there. Only the most gentle of undulations early in the race and dead flat from 5.5 km. Excellent organisation and really friendly atmosphere.

In short: Brilliant race. Last 3k is all gently downhill. Friendly small 10k. Perfect use of a Sunday morning.

In short: Simply the best ever half marathon. It has everything for everyone and the quality mug as a finisher prize makes a nice change from a medal or a t-shirt.

In short: Except for the water stations, the worst organised race I have attended. Poor to non-existent marshalling and waiting in exposed blazing sun for the start that was 20 minutes late. Dreadful.

In short: Very friendly and very challenging. Really a cross country 10k with some evil hills.

In short: Lovely, friendly race. Well organised, well marshalled, great for runners of all levels. To top it all, I got a PB. Brilliant!

In short: Other comments do not match my experience. Goody bag was a drinks bottle and a bag of crisps, nothing else. Very clubby, poor organisation, chaotic at start. Upside, well marshalled.
