In short: A rather lonely marathon with a killer hill to visit twice as two laps. In full: Service stations well manned and very friendly. The MANX people were very nice and the road Drivers accommodating to us runners.
I read this was a top ten UK marathon but to be honest it is an enjoyable but low key local marathon. It has the potential to attract more but would need to be handed over to an event manager to publicize and tech it up a bit. Good job by locals nevertheless. Date of review: July 25, 2012

In short: This is challenging with some cruel hills In full: I thought the organisation was excellent. I read a lot about the goodie bags for 2010 but can't say I was overly impressed this year. I would also recommend a finishers medal even if it meant paying a little extra. for new runners the finisher medal means a lot and motivates for future races. Date of review: September 25, 2011
