In short: Well supported, and well organised. Top event!
In full: Thought this would be a doddle (first time on this course) but has wiped me out for the rest of the day! Very well run, and nice to see the local support out despite the drizzle. Need to be better prepared for those hills next year!

In short: Hard run but scenery made up for it!
In full: HOt and sweaty, but plenty of water laid on, well marked trail, and not too hilly. Well marshalled, and nice goody bag at the end. Will do this again next year (despite rubbish time!).

In short: Top organisation as usual, friendly field, challenging course (did we go more off road than we should have?), beat my time from last year too!

In short: Excellent start to the 2009 running year!
In full: Well done to Romsey and organisers for averting disaster and managing to save the race at the last minute. 5 laps round the industrial estate did not inspire me, so glad we were able to complete the normal course! Excellent race, atmosphere, support, organisation and marshalling. You even arranged perfect race weather!

In short: Superb scenery, beautiful weather, and great organisation!
In full: Definitely beats the previous route - stunning views across the City from Old Sarum, and made-to-order weather topping it off. Despite mud (and I did fall over, but was saved by my padded bum) and some of the more challenging terrain, I beat last years time, so am chuffed to bits!

In short: Perfect weather, good local support and smooth organisation
In full: Despite recent plodding, I managed to knock over a minute off my PB from last year, thanks to good pacing from a chap from just before mile 3 to the end (who also PB'd - good teamwork!). Good local support from the town and local clubs - a joy to see. One of my favourites, and will be back next year!

In short: Top race in a lovely area. Great atmosphere and superb marshalls, despite the atrocious weather! And first time I've never had to queue for the loo before the start!

In short: The fastest I've ever run - everything else just fades into the background!
In full: The support from the Romsey club (supporters and runners) plus the town as well more than made up for the fairly dreary start and end in the industrial estate. Weather was cold but good for running. Well marshalled, and efiiciently run. And I got a PB - 2 weeks later and I'm still elated!! Sets a tough precedent for the rest of my 2007 race plan! I'll definitely be back next year to see if I can do even better!

In short: Local race with hidden gems
In full: I thought I knew the course having run the first half the week before, so couldn't think where the hill was. Found it on Sunday - not the nicest of things to put in! Still - made a challenging race even more so. Fab weather, great company (hope the guy from Dublin I was running with managed to finish!) and it's making me plan my attack more carefully for next year!
