In short: Fast and flat (I'm not from Norfolk) and very well organised. In full: I was very impressed with the turnout of club runners. It seemed to attract the more serious amateur athletes. The distribution of prizes was very inclusive, rewarding runners in many different age categories. Date of review: July 2, 2012

2012 Runner's World Trailblazer - Bedgebury 10K

In short: Mucking about in the forest...fast, fun and friendly In full: The trailblazer is a great event that's very well managed. The trail is wide and the wave format makes bottleknecks a thing of the past. Don't expect a 10k PB due to some long but fairly gentle hills but do count on enjoying the peace and tranquillity of a fully fledged race. I've entered over 30 'races' in the past year (5k to marathon) yet this was the first time I've ever felt like I was battling for position. Dodging the softer footing removed any chance of monotony and made this a mental challenge along with the physical. More photographers next time? Date of review: May 14, 2012
