In short: Tough hilly challenge with glorious scenery
In full: Few errors in marshaling and measurement but it was the first running and the organizers acknowledged the problems.
A tough run with some sapping climbs, shame you only get a quick panoramic view as you loop the trig point on the top of Machen mountain.

In short: The clue's in the name
In full: A rural treat through picturesque countryside, but I am biased being a Cotswold Lad.
Best post race refreshment table ever, fantastically unathletic cakes :-)

In short: Lovely half, not too big, smooth organisation.
In full: Despite the undulation it's a lovely course with one big loop so no laps which can be dispiriting. Very well organised with excellent marshaling (Other races please note, the best marshals are runners not bought in numpties - Cardiff!) Flying marshals on bikes were good too.
Finish big enough to cope and overall a perfect race, just hope it doesn't become too big and unmanageable like other halfs (Bath, Bristol etc).

In short: Spectular scenery though you'll be working too hard to notice
In full: Glad to see this event back on the calendar even though it clashes with some other 'big' events.
Tough course but well marked, this year's heat warranted a couple of extra water stations and prefer the old cartoon character finshers t-shirt.
Great to have tea and biscuits at the start and finish, what more could anyone ask for apart from warmer showers ;-)

In short: Firm but fair, makes others seem easy.
In full: Well organised by a small efficent club. No wonder it was one of the Welsh Championship races this season.
Excellent goody bag and cheap as chips.
Great way for a maschochist to spend a Sunday morning.
