In short: fun but could be better and a good look round the streets of Hackney In full: It was a nice course mainly, the end bit was hideously hot but if we will go and enter races in June... The water stations need work. I don't mind pouches but would have liked a couple more of them. Start is not a 20 min walk so we did another 4 miles there and back on top and the pens were a joke. Stewards thin on the ground esp around first few miles. We saw four casualties to one steward and no first aid in sight towards the end. Organisers could have learned a lot from East London Half last year (now cancelled) which made exactly the same mistakes. Local support excellent. Date of review: June 23, 2014
In short: Hot and hard In full: What a great race but oh so terribly hot. Fantastic and friendly organisation, lovely medal and great goody bag. As the other commenter said, loads of club runners and also loads of women. Most them beat me too.
Husband children and dog all had a wonderful time. I'd love to do it again on a cooler day. Date of review: July 8, 2013
In short: abysmal organisation In full: A race I can walk to? Great! A race which was this badly organised? Embarrassing and potentially dangerous. I look forward to this year's apology from the organisers which presumably will also become an annual event. Date of review: April 15, 2013
In short: l I knew it was a challenge but never expected that... In full: Entered because it covers all my most scary things, downhills and probable muddy bits, hate slipping. Never expected bloody snow! And was so far down the field, don't care for the glory but what a quagmire you all left... brilliant fantastic adventure. Loved it. Date of review: March 29, 2013
