In short: Inclusive event that has something for everyone In full: What a really enjoyable day. Where do I start with an event that had everything Easy registration on the day followed by a group warm up. Pacers running to help that PB potential More marshals than I have ever seen at a 10k event creating a relaxed and supportive experience, the cheers for the last finishers were almost greater than that for the medal presentation. Same again next time please

In short: Great out and back course with a fast finish In full: Yes it was not the warmest, but we had no snow, and the wind did not bite that much once you got going. The long drag from 3 up to 5 miles was challenging but once you got on to the top of the ridge you have broken the back of the race(with the odd sneaky climb thrown in later for good measure).Down hill from mile 9 allowing for a negative split. Smashed my PB by an amazing 5 minutes. Crowds so supportive, similar to the Great North Run. A must Date of review: March 25, 2013

In short: Wow In full: A very special experience. The conditions were so bad it made for a brilliant event. Trying to find a dry patch to tun in was a waste of energy because as soon a your feet warmed up you were back splashing through another "river". Thought the rain had stopped for the start (or maybe i did not notice or care) and i am sure the sun came out for a while. Superb support, marshalling and organisation in very difficult circumstances. Well done to everbody Date of review: November 5, 2012

In short: Great route, great scenery and very well organised In full: Different start location to normal but it was very easy to get to by train. Staggered start and intial lap reduced any congestion so overtaking was not a problem (for me anyway).Marshals the best i have experienced both for support and direction. Would have really enjoyed it more if i had coped with the heat better but great to relax on the grass at the finish supporting others. Highly recommended Date of review: July 23, 2012

In short: Perfect day and great scenery In full: Great point to point race. Good idea to split the field into two start times and with an intial circuit of the sports field it helped reduce the congestion on the narrow tow path. Plenty of water stations spread out over the course. Don't want to see another lock for a while as the climbs on the last two nearly stopped me dead. Overall a very enjoyable event Date of review: November 22, 2011
