In short: This race is definitely amongst my favourites. In full: It's challenging in parts. Hillier than expected but the crowd and marshal support is amazing. I managed to get my marathon PB so it is doable but won't be a stroll in the park. Loved the goody bag and the fact that I was greeted over the finish line was a lovely touch. I would definitely do this race again. Date of review: October 10, 2012

In short: Loved it but it was tough. Unique. The estuaries were a welcome relief to hot legs (now i know why animals flock the watering holes in Africa). In full: One worth doing and would do again one day. Excellent organisation, ran like clockwork. Plenty of water stations (needed on such a warm day) and all the volunteers were brilliant, a massive thank you to them. Due to the terrain they were the only spectators throughout the race (and they cheered everyone along), until the end where, i have to say was surprised and uplifted to see so many people cheering the runners in.
