In short: Nice organization but is it really a 10k?
In full: Great, friendly organization but very disapointing to find out it was common knowledge amongst runners who had been here before that the race is short. I got 5.96 on my Garmin (I know, not infallible) so why not call it the Hoylake 6 miler?

In short: Weather aside the pros were the marshals and people of Manchester who turned out in awful weather, the con was the baggage collection.
In full: Fast course (although a few miles of semi-trail running which I hadn't banked on), great support from the people of Manchester who turned out despite the weather but the organizers need to look a few things esp. the baggage collection, "shambles" would be an understatement.

In short: My first Half. Loved it.
In full: Undulating (I think thats the technical term!) but all down hill for the last 2 miles. Great organization and setup.

Many thanks Helsby Running Club. See you next year.

In short: Well organized, great atmosphere and scenic course.
In full: This was my first marathon and I don't think I could have picked a better one to "break my duck".

The organization seemed to run like clockwork, with friendly volunteers at the drinks stations and marshalling point. The people of Chester and outlying villages turned out to cheer us on through the scenic countyside.

Will def. be back next year.
