In short: lovely race for a cool-ish summer's evening, in a beautiful setting. Huge thanks to the organisers and marshalls for putting on such an enjoyable race. Date of review: June 21, 2007

In short: Wet, challenging, wet, fun ... did I mention WET?! In full: Really enjoyable race again, but no accurate idea of my time - couldn't see an actual start line, and technical problems means I've no official time either. Once again the km markers were all over the place - my fastest was 2:18! I'm not that good! Huge thanks to all the marshalls standing out in that weather. Date of review: May 24, 2007

In short: Expected better for a supposedly top race In full: Loved the previous two years' races, but this was shambolic from the late posting of race packs, the chaotic start, the narrow streets near the beginning, the extra long trip up the portway (where was the fantastically uplifting band this year?), all the way to the goody bag with nothing to eat while I waited 30+ mins to retrieve by bag (and banana!). What a shame. Big thanks to the marshalls and other volunteers though - wonderful as ever. Date of review: September 17, 2006

In short: A very scenic, testing course - shame about the slightly chaotic start. In full: A lot of confusion over where (and which way) the start was and no time bandings like there'd been in previous years. Hence I spent most of the race trying to overtake slower runners on very narrow paths, leading to a disappointing time. However, the course is lovely and I'll definately be back. In short: Lovely scenic part by the river - shame it had to be followed by the first nightmare hill! In full: Much preferred this course to last year's. The three hills were more spaced out, and the finish was far easier without the lap round the campus again. Great support for everyone from some young children at the bottom of Frenchay Hill too.
