In short: A great half marathon
In full: The Chester Half, was my first half and I can't wait to do it again next year, the climb towards the end was very tough, though most of the route, maybe too after 12 miles, though the rest of the route felt flat.

In short: A great route, im in for next year
In full: This was my 2nd year at this event, the route was altered from last year, as there were complaints that the route was longer than a 10K. This year my run tracked at 6.05 miles, hopefully thats an issue with my phone that tracked the run.

As other have stated, the queues were worrying to see 30 mins before the start of the race, though everyone was on the start line a couple of minutes before the race was due to start. I did notice however a great contrast in the setup from August 2011 to yesterday, last year seemed to be more family orientated, I do wonder why the race wasn't scheduled for August this year. In an email I received before the event, about next years event being more "family orientated", so this concern looks to be on the radar already which is good to see, the event is 2 years old, so will hopefully adapt to what runners and the organisers want to see.

The goody bag was good, the running tee is great . The weather couldn't be helped, but at least it helped cool me down :)

In short: Glad I did it ...
In full: Today was my 1st 5K, I have been training with my fiance for the past 2 months, from someone who struggled to run for my than 5 minutes and not continue, to completing a 5k, stopping a few times to catch my breath, I am very proud of my achievement and more than happy to raise money for such a worthy cause.

In short: Great day, it was my 1st 10K, can't wait for next year
In full: There were issues, but that's to be expected. I thoughrougly enjoyed the morning and was able to sprint the last 200m, which I very very pleased with. The weather played its part too.
