In short: undulating run, plenty water stations, well organised and a hand shake at the finish, great medal, well done marshals

In short: Don't bother entering, distance short and times inaccurate
In full: Plenty of parking, a good number of portable toilets, registration was organised, friendly and this is where the postives of the event ended. The water station not manned adequately 1 at 5k then at the finish where you helped yourself.
Course was good even though head wind on the return, turning point sharp and crowded so almost had to stop.
Medal yes not bad, goodie bad none existent when I finished around an hour, bottle of gatorade all for £18 not worth it.
Advertised as chip timing. The chip was on your finger most annoying with or without gloves but with gloves I could not bend my finger, no point putting the chip on top of my gloves as I would have stuggle to remove them without dropping the chip. Found out after the race how the chips worked and they are started on the gun, so if like me female and not fast you hold back to allow faster running to start first you lose valuable time. Quote from a race organiser "if your a serious runner you would be at the front on the start line" I felt offended by that comment as any pb time is an acheivement to me and I am as serious as the next runner. Not enough room for all entries to start on the start line and we would be getting in the way of the faster runners if we tried.
Finish was rubbish as you had to get your chip in a small hole which you were unsure registared that you finished the race. It took me 4 attempts to put it in the hole as my hands were cold and after the 3 try I chose to turn my watch off first. No one there to help you and if you came in with more then 2 other runners you would be queuing to stop your chip. The marshals few and far between appeared disinterested even taking down the start area before the 20k runners were on their 3rd lap. I asked where I could look at the results and told by the same chap organiser they would be on the site that night if they got away quick!! Looking at the results now some of the runner were still out there an hour after this comment was made so my advised to this chap is if you don't want help out at these events with a positive attitute to all runners don't bother at all!
My watch also recorded 150m short and faster time than the results so waste of my £18 entry as I feel cheated.
