In short: Nice course, lovely scenery.
In full: I really enjoyed this half marathon. It was a nice course, nice scenery. I think overall it was a pretty well organised race. I felt it was a beginner friendly half marathon and I would recommend this race. I will be doing it again next year.

In short: Enjoyed the race but too many runners.
In full: I do enjoy the manchester run but because so many people are allowed to enter it is a very busy race. A lot of weaving has to be done and I think if you going to walk there needs to be some guidance to racers about moving to the left single file. Overall, well organised and as it is a flat course there is PB potential. Think I will give it a miss next year though as it's very pricey and some other good races out there that are better and cheaper!

In short: Good course, great organisation, friendly crowd.
In full: This was my 3rd half marathon and I got my PB so really pleased. I found it a good fast paced course. I felt the organisation was brilliant at the start. I was extremely tired after running up the final hill but it was a lovely finish. I will be back next year!

In short: Nice run, very scenic and a good course.
In full: As it was very hot I was quite dehydrated from 6 miles. I didn't take my own bottle as saw in the race info water was provided at regular intervals so thought I would be okay. However, I was dissappointed that the water was in cups. I could only grab one cup whilst running and one cup was not enough every 3.5 miles. If I had known this I would have taken my own supply of water.
Plus drinking from a cup whilst running proved more of a challenge than the run itself!!
The race itself was very well organised. The marshals were encouraging and one was always in sight. I was very impressed with the medal and T-Shirt, much better quality than the BUPA races provide so thank you!
Overall, a nice race and I will be returning next year.

In short: Amazing atmosphere, euphoric!
In full: This was my first half marathon ever and I'm so glad it was the Great North Run. I had an amazing time and at the end of it I didn't feel I had been running for my time of 02:01 because there is so much going on! Absolutely loved this race and will be doing my best to do it next year, I would recommend it for everyone purely for the experience.
