In short: nice race for someone that hasn't been running for a while
In full: Due to illness I have been out of training, so worried about how I would get on. In fact, no fears, the course has a couple of hills but nothing too bad and the marshalls round the course really boosted my confidence. Seeing Johnathan Tickle an extra treat - I like a good celebrity spot :-)

In short: For first time this race has been held, overall good with poor start and some frustrations
In full: A good crowd, picked up your number between 7-9am. Then they put us in the starting tunnel at 9.10am! Race didn't start for another 20mins, so no warm up just standing around. Thought there would have been a warm up session. Then out of starting tunnel pretty much straight in to a single track so frustrating as behind slower runners, no natural gaps had been created at this point. However, lots of marshals, very pretty route, good water station, medal, water and fruit at the end. For the first time this has been organised it was good, a few tweaks and it would be really good.

In short: Beautiful scenery, with a tough hilly circuit. Overall a worthwhile race
In full: Me and my husband are running a race a month this year and so far this is one of the best. Well organised, lots of marshalls, times up quickly, water station at 5km, a medal and little goodie bag at the end. Good stuff.
