In short: A though 1/2 Marathon that makes marathons look like a walk in the park
In full: A tough undulating (still hilly imho) 1/2 marathon.

The start could have been better organised, as we didn't even know the race had started. Better pace sections at the start could have been improved if people who were slower runners were not in that section, could have been easier if people were able to over take at the start instead of the very long fence section past the start.
They could have provided a better goody bag than a fun sized mars bar & a lucozade after the race too.

Apart from those gripes a definite challenge that makes you feel proud of your achievement as you approach the finish on the long walk.

Marshals, cadets & scouts were very supportive throughout the course so a hearty thanks for that.

In short: Brilliant, well organised, challenging race - Will be a regular spot in my running calendar
In full: One of the best organised runs I have done this year, & for a first year this has the potential to be a regular & fast growing event in the future.
For the money a nice goody bag, medal & tea at the end.
If I had to add comments it would be to suggest chip timing, probably a few more toilets at the start (you can never have enough) & more speakers at the start to hear John Tickle (from Big Brother) kick off the race.
Well done for a well organised race, you should feel proud of yourselves.

In short: A fun run for beginners, expensive, terrible organisation, the list goes on
In full: Ran this in 2000. This race is still badly organised.

People have requested timing pens for years, to have a "first to the start" policy is dangerous for all participants. This race had far too many people at different paces all over the course, this is unfair for everybody. Beginners can't enjoy the race because they feel intimidate by the faster runners. Runners after a good PB have their hopes dashed because they spend half the time walking, weaving,& (sadly)pushing/shoving.

Not enough toilets or toilet roll!

A handful of things in the goody bag does not constitute it being called a "goody" bag especially the price people are expected to pay.

This race is always a hot weather race, they should have a rain shower area for runners to cool down mid-race.

I'm surprised medals & Goody bags were not given at the finish instead of at the baggage area. Surely this clogs the baggage area unnecessarily?
