In short: Well organised and decent course
In full: Having done this in 2007 on what was a white urban dull course, this year I returned and the route was far more scenic. I wouldnt call it flat, more slightly undulating. There are no big hills, but a few undulations to test tired legs. Especially of note is that last mile, a 1m slog up a hill through the heart of the city centre. A real test at the end! Good organisation, ecellent marshalls and gels/high-5 and water a plenty.

In short: A quality event
In full: My first time doing a race over a time rather than a distance, and I think I personally prefer a distance to focus on as opposed to a specific time on your feet.
However, this is not reflection on the event itself. An excellent off road course with lots of varying terrains and inclines keeps you concentrating for 24hrs. A bit pricey at £65 odd quid to enter, but the quality of the event, facilities, atmosphere, free camping and probably the best ever goody bag make it very good value. Not sure that I'd do it again though, but a fantastic event well worth entering for the challenge

In short: Superb, in all respects
In full: My 2nd ACW, despite using many of the sections each week on training runs. This is a little gem of a race, and such amazing value. I have paid 3-4 times the entry to enter other races of a similar distance and this beats them all by far. Organisation is slick, volunteers and organisers are very helpful and the checkpoint refreshments are just great. A perfect beginners ultra. Lovely rural course, very little in the way of hills and possibly the most relaxed race Ive every done.

In short: Stunning, as always
In full: My 6th Snowdonia in as many years, a truly epic race. Not even the horrendous weather can dampen the spirits of the race. I'll be back for 7th year without doubt.

In short: Superb!
In full: A fantastic small 'race/challegne'.
Cant fault it in any way.
The map book given out with a series of 18 small maps is more than enough to get you around the course without making mistakes.
ON top of that the organisation and support was fantastic. Cakes, settts, sandiches etc at 7 check poits, and all that for £10 to enter! Really good value for money especially in comparason to other more expensive ultras ive done withere you oay £40 to enter and oly get given water at checkpoints!
Il be doing it again next year for sure.
