In short: Best 10km anywhere In full: So this was the third year, and I'm not sure what keeps bringing me back. Is is the amazing marshals ? Maybe, is it the tough but fun course? probably, is it the most amazing goodie bag of any race? For sure no wait its the pork pies at the end that do it for me :)
An amazingly well organised, fun race thats the highlight of my 10km calendar Date of review: May 12, 2014
In short: More Parking issues In full: Hoped it would have been sorted from last year, but parking was challenging again. The rain and a field made it worse than last year but luckily a quicker time meant I did not suffer the worst.
Course is a solid course and good fun, but not sure its a PB'er.
The goodie bag is awful, £16 for an (virtually) empty bag with a wagon wheel in it (which I thought was very tasty), and a sponsor water bottle. Runners were very friendly but quite a few scowls from the locals who yet again seem surprised to see a herd of runners going through their village.
I think it has lots of potential, but still held back by lack of organisation, and the worst goody bag I have ever received. Date of review: March 10, 2013
