In short: Never a dull moment. In full: A tough race if you're not used to off-road terrain. Some steep, steep hills and technical descents.
The rain was nice in my opinion. Made me feel alive.

In short: Well I'm doing it again in 2013...... In full: This was my first marathon so didn't really know what to expect and how my training fared.
Did some digging around reviews from last year before the race to find out how many hills there were. The answer is, there are a few. They're not horrible hills but they can take it out of you if you're not ready for them or if, like me, you train in an area where you're not blessed with many hills.
The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone seemed to include their children in the event and you're always throwing a 'high 5' there way.
The course is good. Could be better, but they can only work with what they have and whats available.
I did think it was missing a Powerade station between miles 12 and 20, unless I missed it.
I think it will get better and bigger each year.
I've signed up again for 2013. Date of review: April 19, 2012
