In short: Well organised event
In full: 17 laps of the Cyclo-park in Gravesends, Kent meandering up and down. Pretty fast course despite the ups and downs and challenging enough not to get bored lap after lap. Chip timed. Excellent organisation. Big thumbs up.

In short: Great off-road marathon
In full: A very well organised event. Nice medal, mug and technical vest. Nice to get off the roads and run in a rural setting. Very friendly and supportive marshals. Well worth doing and a refreshing change from the big city marathons.

In short: Decent 1st effort but victim of the weather
In full: Decent 1st effort at organising a big city (or town?) marathon. If the day had better weather there would have been few problems. Biggest problems were no space blankets at the finish and the long wait to reclaim your bag (and dry clothes). The marshals, water stops and spectators were nothing short of superb. Hope this event goes from strength to strength as they could make it special.

In short: A well organised low key marathon.
In full: My 3rd succssive year at Gloucester so that tells you they are doing something right. Much better now that the race numbers are sent via mail (no need to register on the day) and that the finish line back to the Race HQ is 100 yards and not a mile away!
Very well organised. A little expensive TBH. Shame about the lack of hot water for showers too.

In short: Good November Marathon
In full: A slick and well organised marathon. 3 laps with some gentle undulations. Friendly marshalls. Perfect weather made it ideal running conditions. Only downside was that there was no chip map at the start so everyone gets the "gun time" as their offical time.

In short: Scenic off road marathon
In full: A very scenic and undulating off road marathon. Rolls up and down but no long climbs up or down, just short and sharp. Plenty of water stations but get a little sparse towards the end of the course. Mile markers every 3rd mile that were pretty accurate with the exception of the 24th mile marker that was 0.60 miles too late. Course came bang on distance. Given the race fees I expect a little bit more than a gernic medal and cotton t-shirt! However, the 9bars in the goody bag were welcome.

In short: 12 laps, 24 hills. :-(
In full: 12 x 3.5k laps around Weald Country Park. 2 tough climbs per lap - well, they don't start off being that tough by lap by lap they getting longer and higher. Well organised event with chip timing from the Go Beyond Ultra crew. Free tea, coffee and cake available for competitors. T-shirt and medal as momento's and reasonably cheap to enter. Will probably be back next year for the 3rd successive year.

In short: Tough out and back!
In full: Well organised and well marshalled race. Tricky underfoot with tree roots, loose stones and sticking out stones all covered in Autumn leaves! Great event with some very nice personal touches (t-shirt with all of the competitors and marshalls names on, your name on your race number etc). Maybe a little pricey but still good value!

In short: Super Flat
In full: Very well organised and marshalled course. Super flat course with some very slight gradients. Ideal autumn marathon for an assault on your PB.
