In short: nice atmosphere, well organised
In full: It was a bit of a dreary day but most runners were in high spirits. This was my first race for 2013 and I found it really difficult managing the hills which went on for ever. I have only said I wont do it again because it was just too hard for me personally and I struggled to enjoy it knowing I was way off my normal pace. If you like a challenge then this is the race. Felt a bit cheated in not getting a medal after all that effort but the cool bag is CooL! Lots of support and smiling marshals giving lots of encouragement.

In short: My first BUPA race but definitely not my last
In full: The organisation of this race is second to none. Despite the amount of people there you were never left wondering where to go and what to do. The different starting pens worked brilliantly. It was very hot so to get a pb in that heat would be a real challenge. Useful goody bag, decent medal and an easy trip home. fantastic day!

In short: Pleasantly surprised
In full: Despite the terrible weather, there was a good turnout with some people paying on the day. The children's fun run was cute - there is some talent out there. Loads of places to park just outside the venue as the car park was naturally full. The race started on time. I'm a slowish runner and was near the back but there was a lot of encouragement from the marshals and the small crowd that braved the elements. This was my first 10k race and I was terrified of the hills (we had to go round them 3 times not 2 as advertised) and with a hilly start and a hill to finish I found it tough but doable!! At the end there was a medal, bananas and water. No goody bag as advertised but no biggie. I'm glad I did it!
