In short: Well organised, good value races - friendly atmosphere
In full: Did 4 of the races. Can be a bit boring doing laps, but its a challenge in the dark (although majority of course floodlit) and always a good friendly atmosphere. Good venue and facilities. Nice technical t shirt (rear design) for those who did 3 races or more!

In short: Well organised - shame about the weather (and length of course)
In full: Yes, my watch read 9m just short of 0.2m of the 9 mile marker (probably didn't help seeing a couple of painted notes in the road showing turnaround point between miles 8-9 which didn't happen where marked). Therefore, course @ 13.3m. For some (as in case of my sister), it would have been a PB.

However, well done to those who marshalled and for those that supported. The weather was awful and it does give us runners a boost to have support. Preferred collecting t-shirt beforehand, saves congestion at end. The course was undulating in places but ok. Plenty of water stations. Nice medal. All in all, not that bad.

In short: Enjoyed it! Great organisation and location
In full: Hills weren't as challenging as led to believe (but definitely undulating). Nice route; well marshalled; weather was perfect; Goody bag nice touch. Good support. I agree with the earlier comment about the matting on the grass. I too found it a tad slippery (but obviously there for a reason?) Well done Barns Green

In short: Good hard workout for a Sunday morning!
In full: Yes, it was challenging and a very warm day (which was forecast!)but that is not down to the organisers who did a fab job. I received useful updates via email; parking was great; a goody bag with water and snacks (bonus) and a great medal. I don't normally use the water stations (but use them occasionally as a top up), but I'd rather be running over paper cups than half drunk plastic bottles! I think I'll be back next year. Thank you to all the supporters and organisers.

In short: Tough!
In full: Didn't really read previous reviews which was probably a good idea as didn't know it would be as challenging! Friendly atmosphere, lovely location. Def one to do if you want a good stamina training session in before a 10k!

In short: Superb organisation, friendly and fast course!
In full: I agree with all the previous comments. Shame about the weather, but at least it wasn't freezing or windy on top of the torrential rain. Marshalls were fantastic and very encouraging ....I did the Bexhill 10k a couple of months ago and Bexhill really put on well organised races. Medal is superb! Oh, and the update on your lap times was great ... nice touch.

In short: Terrible organisation
In full: I agree with the majority of comments made already. I spent the first 5 miles weaving, pushing past the slower runners and in the end I just ran a comfortable/training pace as I wasn't going to be on target to try and get a PB. I am surprised there weren't a lot of injuries as you weren't made aware of road bollards etc which when running in huge crowds can cause last second jumping out of way .... I agree with the steeplechase comment (plyometric training came in handy!)

Direction/advice really should be taken from Running clubs. They have experience in this field. I may do this again once I start reading more positive comments in the next couple of years.

In short: Good course. First time doing this course. Maybe start it earlier like the Darent 10k
In full: It was very hot and reading reviews it was hot last year. Maybe start the race at 8.30/9.00am and if it is a scorcher it should be a bit cooler and also, it doesn't cut into your Sunday too much.

Good organisation, good location, good medal. Enjoyed it. Will be back, but will register on day (weather permitting this time!)

In short: Well organised .... Good atmosphere. Ideal for anyone considering stepping up to a "half" marathon
In full: Plenty of water stations and 2 sponge stations ... excellent! (especially as it was getting really warm) Really well marshalled. Will definitely recommend this race.

In short: Always one for the December calendar ... kicks starts your Sunday morning!
In full: 4th time I have done this run ... ideal distance for those who have just taken up running with a few inclines! Fair play and well done to all those that dressed up ... makes the run more relaxed, enjoyable and fun.
