In short: interesting variable terrain and scenery, great support from crowds along whole route.
In full: For family and friends dragged along to watch me run they were rewarded with excellent viewing opportunities along Godalming High Street - there wasn't a dull moment with 5K and 10K runners coming by almost continuously for over an hour.

The three hills were a challenge but it's spurred me on to get fitter and not find gradients a nuisance!

Yes, a Medal would have been nice but let's be honest, after a couple of days will only collect dust in a drawer somewhere.

I'll be back in 2013, fitter, stronger and not so frightened of Raquets Court Hill.
