In short: Fab race and you can enjoy an ice bath in the sea afterwards!
In full: As a first time marathoner, this was an amazing eperience. Great course (apart from the power station!) with great crowd support and plenty of water and fuel stations. Only downside was the Expo and lack of signage for the repatriation area.

In full: Never found myself laughing hysterically whilst up to my shins in thick mud. Wading through knee deep icy mud & sludge brought tears to my eyes, but well worth it. Everyone very friendly and always a fellow runner on hand to pick you up if you slip in the mud. Only disappointment was that there was no cake left at the end :(
