In short: Hard, Hilly and Amazing In full: This was my first potteries Arf marathon, I've ran the full marathon 4 times in the past so I knew the course was going to be tough. I was hoping for a sub 2 hour run ( I've ran Lichfield and Stafford halfs in 1:55 this year),this was not to be my finishing time of 02:11 was a disappointment. My disappointment was soon put to one side when I thought back to the race and the amazing crowd, it feels as though the whole city comes out to support the race. I was clapped and cheered the whole route, the homemade drink/sweet stations were a life saver and the 70's disco garden party at 10 miles made me smile. The course is full of tough hills and very, very tough on the legs. I will be back for more next year hoping finishing in under 2 hours. Date of review: June 11, 2012
