In short: Well organised, first half downhill with wind, 2nd half ouch! In full: Well organised event, delayed start was annoying as meant after my warm up I was stood at the start for 20 minutes. First half of the race was either flat or slightly downhill (couple of short climbs). The second half has a slow gradual climb from about 12km which combined with a headwind meant the last 9kms will inevitably be slower. The farm tracks section was very potholed and hard to run fast on. Finishing straight was great, despite the cheeky run around the extra cones bit which I am sure broke some people mentally. Decent medal, would've like to have a momento for finishing in the top ten rather than the same medal everyone got (for doing 1km, 5km fun run too). Date of review: June 25, 2012
