In short: A Great Way to Spend a Sunday Morning In full: My first half marathon so didn't really know what to expect but the organisation was really very good. Around 330 runners gathered on the village green for the off which was bang on time. Most of the race was on quiet country roads and apart from the one killer hill at the 9-mile mark, the rest of the course was relatively flat(ish). My only comment would be their rubbish mile markers - at one point the mile marker was out by .25 miles! Thankfully I had my Garmin on and the finish line was exactly 13.1 miles so not sure what happened to the measuring inbetween. The atmosphere was very good, the marshalls and public enthusiastic which really helped. Results available on-line later that day and the photos available with a day or so as well so great going. The goodies included an etched pint glass and a lovely medal so well done to the sponsor. A great race overall, I am going to do it again next year and I would recommend it as a good race for a first Half. Date of review: October 23, 2012
