In short: Amazing race, magnificent scenery, brilliantly organised - can't fault In full: This was my first time at Longleat. I've done one road 10k previously and a few trail runs so wasn't sure what to expect. The signs for parking at the event were very clear with plenty of parking. The set up of the race with sub 40 then sub 45 etc was such a good idea as we could start where we felt comfortable. There were a lot of 'serious runners' so I was a little scared of coming last. However I got round in 1 hour 4 minutes (so not quite last). The three hills were challenging but were manageable to run up. I thought the ground was exceptionally clear considering the snow fall the day before. I ran in trainers and was fine. I thought the marshals were fantastic - very encouraging. The crowd were great. The last 1k was brillinat - downhill all the way to the finish. Fab goody bag and medal and exact time logged. Highly recommend. Bargain. Will definitely be back next year. I have never been to an event before that was so well organised. Date of review: February 7, 2012
