In short: Gorgeous route, quick and not *too crowded
In full: What a stunning route around possibly the most beautiful city in the country. Lovely carnival atmosphere at the start area to keep wifey and children occupied. A great race for first timers and those chasing a new pb alike.

In short: Local support was fantastic
In full: A PB race, which I'm sure always sways one's opinion slightly! The start in the stadium setting was great if a little chaotic. Would rather go without a tee shirt if it meant water bottles at the drinks stations. The local support was fantastic, a genuine boost during certain parts of the race. A massive thank you to anyone out there shouting support, playing music, cheering, you are all ace :) This could be one of the best northern half marathons with the level of support from the locals.

In short: Fantastic race for everyone, great course, great support.
In full: First visit to Chester, what an amazing place, well worth making a weekend of this race for anyone from afar. The organisation at the start was excellent, the huge queues for loos went down in no time, with minimal wait. Lovely carnival atmosphere to start the race and what a fantastic location for the finish.

On a personal note, had a nightmare due to illness, will deffo return to enjoy the race properly.

In short: I will remember the Brighton half marathon 2012 forever, a truly wonderful experience.
In full: My first ever run, the conditions were perfect, the scenery was without equal and the organisation was superb (happy to forgive the distance thing!).. Wish they did a recurring entry form and I would signup without fail. The course was perfect for a first ever run, I cannot give enough praise for the event tbh :)
