In short: Mildly undulating in places, lovely scenery in parts made even bet by the glorious weather. Industrial area would have been dull but the drummers made up for it. Well done Stroud for putting on a good race!

In short: This new route is definitely challenging and the finish came as a relief, but would definitely do it again. Thak you to the excellent marshalls!!

In short: Great race as always. Thank you to the marshals for braving the cold - and being so cheerful despite the snow!

In short: Well done to the marshals. Excellent. Toilet facilities and the narrow start may need some attention.

In short: Well organised and improved facilities from 4 years ago. Good marshals, tough hills.

In short: Hot. Hot. Hot. With a few hills thrown in to finish us off.
In full: All in all a lovely route. Fell victim to the heat so found the second lap really tough and the Greenway was the most mentally challenging 5 miles of my running career to date. Very impressed by the number of water stations and toilets. Good start, not too many queues for facilities. Well done to the organisers, just choose a cooler day next year!

In short: Despite the wind, rain, flooded roads and hills, I surprised myself by enjoying this race and doing better than I'd expected. Great marathon preparation!
In full: Amazingly, despite feeling totally dispondent by mile 11 with the strong wind in the face on a long uphill stretch, I forgot the negativity the moment I crossed the finish line and look forward to 2009's event.

In short: They mean it when they say it's the toughest 10k in England! Great fun, off the wall prizes and a fab medal. Not sure about the steps. Next year more people need to wear fancy dress!

In short: I love this course! Second time I've run it this year and whilst I was slower than before thanks to injury over the summer, I loved it!!!!!

In short: Not a race for club runners looking for a PB
In full: Great race for beginners who want to walk / jog but useless for those that want to run the whole thing. I ran with a group of new runners who had trained to run the whole thing. We queued up correctly in the 30-35 minutes section - but from the outset we were trying to weave through walkers! If you're going to walk PLEASE start at the back and keep to the right and marshals, please make sure they do it!! All in all, very disappointing for my group. I know it's a fun run and people would say it's more about the charity - but as the front international runners proved it is supposed to be a race!
