In short: Great introduction for anyone into the sport of Orienteering
In full: This was the first time I'd ever been orienteering and it absolutely got me hooked - such a simple concept of running and map reading at the same time. It's not difficult to do in Greenwich Park and there's plenty of help at hand. You can walk, jog or full on sprint... depending on your map reading skills and inclination. Would highly recommend to any runners looking to try something slightly different.

In short: Staggered start prevented early bunching
In full: For a 12,000 person race this was excellently organised. I really appreciated the fact that I could start at the pace I wanted rather than wasting a km bobbing up and down and trying not to stand on people's feet

In short: Slow start but very enjoyable race
In full: Get to the front of the crowd at the start if you want a good time as it's pretty slow down the single file in the woods but it's a very attractive course with extremely friendly marshals. Definitely one to put in the calendar as part of your training but save your PB efforts for another race.

In short: Uphill seemed to go on for ever... but a good testing race
In full: I agree with previous posters who said that the uphill bit (the worst is over by 5 miles) seemed to go on for about 10 miles. Also, when you hit the seafront towards the end, you have to check yourself as there's still a long way to go. Great crowds on a miserable day.
