In short: Well-marshalled friendly race In full: Run on roads not closed to traffic, but plenty of marshals directing cars (and shouting encouragement) meant this was never an issue.
First half of the course is up an incline that's nearly imperceptible, then turns a corner a couple of steeper climbs. If you survive those, it's all downhill for the last third. I'd estimate the hills cost just under a minute compared to a pancake-flat course. Date of review: August 21, 2012

In short: Very flat course In full: A new venue for 2012, so the Promenade name is out-of-date: the course is around a business park.
It isn't particularly picturesque, but it's very flat: my GPS reckoned the elevations were between sea-level and 5m.
The marshals gave clear instructions, and results were posted quickly after the race.
I bagged a 5K PB despite high winds at the first race of this year's series. Will be back for the remaining races. Date of review: April 26, 2012

In short: Great event for my first 10K In full: The organization was generally good. Busy, but I suppose that's inevitable with 2500 runners.
I agree with RFJ that it would be helpful to have places to start for people expecting to run at different paces. I ended up in more or less the right area for those running at around a 5 min/km pace but only by sheer luck. Date of review: April 2, 2012
