In short: Another excellent event from the Lakeland Trails
In full: Running the whole series this year for the first time. Each one so far has been a great highlight of the year. Really enjoyed Coniston - great coure and good weather too. Got round despite minimal training (grand total of 3 miles since Derwentwater!). As a Challenge runner it seems the done thing to walk up the steep bits which suits me fine! Challenge is to beat the Trail Race runners who start an hour later.....6 of them passed me this time. Already entered the series for 2008, and looking forward to Ullswater next month. Thanks to Graham and Claire for such great events.

In short: Another excellent event from the Lakeland Trails
In full: Another great run with a mix of terrain...interesting middle section with bog and climbs. Good to have a 'Challenge' event for slower runners and walkers. The challenge is to beat the Trail Race runners who set up an hour later. I made it this time with seconds to spare! Already entered again for next year.

In short: Another excellent race with great scenery and faultless organisation
In full: Great race again! Thanks to Graham and the others for another great day. I ran the Challenge (and it certainly was one!), and my kids once again enjoyed the Peter Rabbit Fun Trails. Medals great for the kids, also a nice T-shirt for the adult races - good to see XL available that is actually XL and fits! Looking forward to the next one in September....

In short: Excellent organisation, great route
In full: I was glad I'd entered the Challenge rather than the serious race, as I walked on a lot of the uphill sections. Route almost completely off-road on picturesque trails that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. Perfect day, well-stocked water/jelly baby stations helped us cope with the hot weather. I'll be doing the next one in 5 weeks....if my blisters have healed!
