In short: a great race that survived where others got cancelled
In full: a great effort by the total buzz events crew for getting this race on despite the weather and -3 windchill.nice start outside yeovil town fc's stadium and plenty of variety en route of hills, lanes, industrial estate, town centre and the king of the hill competition.very good support all the way around and the king of the hill competition was a nice side issue to complete.great marshalling and medal!

In short: can see why this race gets so well rated and scored!
In full: from registering for this race the race team were great in keeping everyone updated with info on the day regarding the weather and what to expect.considering the snow putting the race day in doubt constant tweets, facebook updates and emails kept everyone in the loop.
fortunately the race went ahead and everything was very well organised and had a great feeling to it from the other runners and supporters.the marshalls were very friendly and helpful and crowd support around most parts of the course kept the spirits up and helped motivate me up 'that' hill around mile 7!the goody bag was packed with useful magazines, foods and drinks and the medal was a special 30th anniversary piece of bling that has brightened up my medal collection!great scenary and ran like clock work.finished with a good time (for me) despite the hills and mdals were handed out by the mayor and olympians which just added to the glory i felt at the end.would love to do this race again and its one that all runners should complete.great stuff and best wishes to all involved

In short: loved it, loved it, loved it
In full: this was my 3rd bupa run this year following the great north and great birmingham and was one of my favourite runs of the year.weather was kind considering the forecast and great crowd support along the whole route.lovely scenery running round hms victory and hms warrior and along the sea front on the last 2 miles.definate pb potential if you get in the right wave.is expensive but a great goody bag with powerade, water, space blanket, tshirt, plenty of food and the all important medal.bit dissapointed that the medal was same 2012 design as great north and great birmingham (and after a bit of research.. the same as great manchester and great yorkshire 10k's).will definitely be back tho.very highly recommended

In short: a great race on an awful day of weather
In full: on a day that had weather forecasts expecting apocalyptic conditions getting out and about in the new forest made the journey and day well worth it.as this was the 30th anniversary of this race i didnt want to miss it and was my first go at the new forest half.weather lashed down virtually thru the whole run but with the race starting in the middle of the town there was great support at the start and end of the race with scatterings of support along the route which went along moorland and windey roads.very scenic and loved the supporting messages as you run up 'the hill' which was great to encourage all to keep going.foil blankets at the end were worth their weight in gold and the medal was worthy of a 30th anniversary.surprisingly manged a pb in the conditions so on a fine day would expect pb's to be smashed as just enough inclines to keep runners from being bored.highly recommended.

In short: first cardiff h/m and will definately be back
In full: thought i needed to add my review of this race after reading the strange previous 3 reviews which contradicted every other review iv read on this race and was very harsh on this race.weather was cool and ideal for running.was a nice scenic start in the middle of the city next to the castle.welsh national anthem being sung at the start was a nice touch.maybe a big screen wouldv been useful to see who was being interviewed and who sung the national anthem.running pens and baggage area was clearly labelled so didnt have any problems.run had plenty of support around the course even out at cardiff bay area which was very scenic and a lovely view.only a few minor hills made this a pb potential course and sounds like the organisers have made great strides to the previous years.very nice medal and a tech tshirt was great.some food would have been nice in the goody bag but as your in the middle of a major uk city and food outlets a few feet away wasnt a problem.my 29th race of the year and enjoyed it.gels and water passed out regularly and nice friendly atmosphere.well done cardiff!

In short: superb value half in cornwall and best medal outside the olympic village!
In full: very enjoyable half marathon that was well worth the trip to cornwall.very warm humid day but plenty of water stattions and scenery.mostly on trails with inclines on the road parts.pb potential could be on the cards also.great to see people cheering us on and the sight of the animals along the way and hearing the brass band playing was great to break up the run in my mind.would definately do it again and as most years received an awesome medal on a par with the olympic gold medals in size and quality.great way to celebrate the olympic year was doing the 30th year of the indian queens.highly recommended.
