In short: This has killed road races for me. I won't be rushing back to them, great to get muddy. In full: A lovely race, a bargain at £6 to enter and what a stunning drive out from Manchester. A bit of a frustrating start with so many bottlenecks but once you get out there it's another challenge. Great to get covered in mud and be able to look around and see the views and avoid the sheep that are pottering about. Very supportive runners and stewards. Particularly needed the two water holes either side of the drinks station, for my feet. Been a bit spoilt the last few races with the goody bags and prizes but the £5 voucher will contribute to new (clean) socks. Date of review: May 23, 2012

In short: Great Friendly Race In full: Me and my girlfriend travelled down from Manchester for this race, i grew up in the Midlands so it was nice to come back to my 'home' race. I know the Halesowen area pretty well, but the look of horror on my face when at the half way point it dawned on me where i was. Stupidly steep hills, but with the support of the marshals and a few other runners kept going, to a surprising good time. Would defiantly recommend to my friends but won't tell them about the hills.
