In short: Excellent organisation, wonderful race
In full: Slightly different course from last year avoided potential floods. Organisation was like clockwork - thanks to all of the marshals who kept me going. Lots of support turned out, which was needed given the hot weather. The heat made the slopes and ramps that take the paths under the main roads feel steeper than last year.

In short: A good race - well worth a go
In full: A change in the course meant a steep hill at the end, but still a good course to set a pb with a long downhill start and mostly flat. Well organised half and 10k, but the 5k runners got sent off route causing probs. Marshalls were very supportive, and lots of support despite the weather. A few moans but well worth it overall.

In short: A fun race on a speedy course
In full: An enjoyable race despite the multiple laps in an empty motoring circuit. This is a definate pb course - almost flat and plenty of room. Everyone was supportive and a very friendly atmosphere.

In short: An excellent race but with lessons to learn
In full: Great course - mostly flat with a bit of an uphill stratch between 10 and 11. Picturesque views and the stretch through the Mini plant was unusual but good fun. Some good cheering along the way from supporters, marshalls and water stations. Bands were great too.
Ok, the bad stuff - luckily i didn't have to stand in the long queues for the bags. There was plenty of parking at the Kassam but there were pinch points on the way in that could have been better managed, and the way out crossed the race, making it impossible to get out until there were big gaps between race finishers.
All worthwhile though as got a massive pb :) will definately be back!

In full: A good course - relatively flat just a few ups and downs for the underpasses. Supportive marshalls and well organised at the start and finish.

In short: Very well organised traffic free race
In full: I was a little apprehensive about my first evening race, but parking was easy and on the night entry was hassle free.Definite PB potential - course is almost flat and is obviously traffic free. Very well organised - thank you!

In short: Heroic effort to get the first MK Marathon on in unseasonal weather!!!
In full: Well done to the organisers for getting the event on, it was horrific weather and to have to deal with that on your first event must have been a nightmare!!! Marshalls were very supportive, supporters turned out in force despite the conditions and were very vocal. I expect some of the entertainment had to cancel because of the electricity. The course was long due to detours around floods but relatively flat so still managed to smash my pb in wet trainers. All of the issues mentioned in reviews are weather related - i'm glad they put it on despite this, as if they had cancelled then all of the training would have been in vein. I'll be on the start line next year!!!
