In full: the strong headwinds possibly made for slower times on what would usually be quite a fast course.the hill at mile 7 and 18 certainly proved challenging but there were also very flat sections to stretch out.wouldn't say it's a definate PB course but quick times are still possible.the scenery and warwickshire countryside make it a nice marathon, and a spectacular finish along the river.Personally,i would prefer this as a regular spring marathon to london.

In full: a lovely half marathon with great scenery.brilliant atmosphere.slight problems following the route coming off the wichenford way at mile 4.clearer signs and more marshalls would help out and prevent runners getting lost in places.has potential to be terrific race though in future years ahead.would definately come back for it,and even tempted by the ultra next year!

In full: stunning scenery and ideal preparation for a spring marathon.this is probly one of the easier events to do in the cotswold running series but still challenging enough.a good technical t-shirt,coffee and cake for all finishers was much appreciated.maybe could have race name printed on shirt?overall, very good and satisfactory race

In full: good points for this race.it was well organised with plenty of marshalls and drink stations and the course was well marked.appart from a few twisty turns also a good course for a PB.the down point is that this is probably the most boring half marathon i have ever run!with nothing to look at and by the 4th lap was slightly depressing.definately a race for the PB basher rather than going for the race itself.perhaps the 2 lap 10k would be a more recommendable option to the half unless you are a serious half marathoner!

In full: firstly the criticisms for this event.the markers for the route were at times difficult to follow and a couple of points there were no markers or marshalls showing runners where to go.this was very unfair on the front runners who had to stop and wait to ask other athlete's where to go! on an up,probably one of the nicest routes i have ever done.if the route can be made much clearer to follow i would definately come back next year to give it a crack.sadly i could not complete the full marathon and had to do the half as felt unwell so want to come back to complete the full 28 next year

In full: this has potential to be terrific event.would say the course itself is even more attractive and challenging than the tywyn original.however,a couple of criticisms.firstly, appart from the start and finish runners did not get to see the train at all on route.more importantly, the organisers had no interest in having results for this event with no one at the finish to record runners finishing times.
this has the potential to be something quite special.what i would say-encourage this event to grow in size and aim for hundreds to do it and put just as much emphasis on the competitive element rather than solely being a fundraising event

In full: excellent half to run.very challenging though, not recommended to first half marathon timers.slightly mean on mementos in my opinion-a shirt or goody bag would be nice organisers! shame a full marathon is no longer run on this

In full: quite a few flat/fast sections to stretch out but the hill in the first mile instantly knocks pb chances!generous goody bag/t-shirt for a low entry

In full: a generous entry price and a worthwhile t-shirt,goody bag and free massage were excellent.
the course itself was a bit boring.was excited when heard there was a marathon in worcester thinking it would take in areas like the cathedral, city centre, racecourse and the river.however, the route was in the middle of no-where miles from the city.lack of mile markers were also an issue, plus i thought the course was over measured! would maybe do the half another year but not the full
