In short: Fun in the Sun
In full: First time running 11k and certainly off-road. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. The second hill was a bit of a killer but after getting up it it was pretty flat after that. Amazing well organised and I'd definately do it again.

In short: first half marathon and a 5 min walk home
In full: Well this was my first half marathon and it was good fun. Good route, lots of support and only 1 or 2 hills lol. The one at the end was just to much!! Great organisation and directions were easy to follow. If I'm mad enough to consider a half marathon again I'll defo do this one

In short: Fun and Flat for 10 miles
In full: For my first 10 mile race this was good. Organisation was as good as any other race i've done - lots of marshalls and spectators cheering you on. The wind in the last couple of miles wasn't fun but that's hardly the organisers fault!! Good views around the island and really flat. Nice medal

In short: Definite PB Potential
In full: As I live in Fleet this was a race I had to do. As I run some of these roads I had a rough idea of how the route would be - although it was harder on the 2nd lap. I managed to get a PB by about 2 minutes which wag great - shame about throwing up as I crossed the line. Great organisation and marshals made it all run well

In short: Fun in the sense of pain and hardwork
In full: For a first time event this went well as far as I could tell. I had lots of communication prior to the event talking about the conditions etc. I found the course to be challenging the uphill trails were steep and with the rain of previous days by the end, some of them had to be walked (or perhaps I was just knackered...) Don't really think there was much pb potential as some of the trails were quite narrow so hard to overtake if you wanted to. I did it in about 62 minutes which is about 5 mins slower than other 10k races i've done but it was good fun and i'd consider doing it again - definitely if they did a summer version when the trails may a bit firmer!!

In short: Uphill madness
In full: 1st time doing the Butser Hill Challenge, completed in about 64 minutes, didn't run as much a I'd hoped for. About half way up first climb I realised quite how unprepared I was!! Lol. However really enjoyed the challenge, weather was amazing rain, hail, strong wind and mist on top of hill - soaked to the skin by the end. Chatted to a few people on the run and seemed good cameradery for all runners. Already thinking about coming back next year. It was so wet though that the starters gun misfired twice..

In short: Well organised and good fun with friendly runners
In full: This was my 2nd ever 10k run and I wanted to do a flatter run after having done the Marwell 10k as my first race. It was great fun, the hill towards the end was "fun" but the rest of the race I really enjoyed, did a new pb by 1 min 20 seconds!!
