In short: Fast, friendly and fun! You'd be barking mad to miss it! In full: Amazingly well organized 10K on a super flat course with chip timing, excellent on-course entertainment, and a fantastic goody bag that included snacks, socks, and the loudest tech t-shirt I've ever seen.
The dog theme runs deep, with the starting pens being named after breeds - greyhounds, dalmatians, huskies, labradors and bulldogs! The whole event feels like a party and the organizers really throw themselves into it which makes the event especially fun.
As for the actual running: 2015 was foggy and without wind, which made for an enjoyable and incredibly quick race. If the weather is in your favour (i.e. no February gale force winds), this is an excellent course for a strong PB.
My first Mad Dog, but not my last - I'll certinaly be back next year! Date of review: February 10, 2015
