In full: The marshalls and volunteers were brilliant, plus all the other well-wishers who came to cheer. I would have appreciated having info about the course before booking,as this was my first marathon. I appreciate the course had to be changed but those hills were very tough for someone who hadn't done any hill training. I only saw the course gradient by clicking on a link from the Facebook page, no email info about it. Amazing scenery though and it was enjoyable. Agree with other comment about the start, it wasn't clear. Most traffic was ok but motorbikes in particular got very close. Would be good to have a better finish line, rather than the grass verge of a busy road too.
