In short: Great location, a scenic and somewhat challenging course
In full: Masses of upfront information in the welcome pack, online site and forums meant I was fully informed and prepared ahead of the race as to all the important bits; start time, bag drop location, toilets, pre-start congregation point, water stations etc etc.
A few thousand people made for a special atmosphere in the 'tunnel' before the start line. Whilst I do feel really bad for those who missed out, you have to expect traffic on a big race day and build it into your schedule. Having said that, coming locally I didn't allow much time myself so as soon as I hit the traffic I parked the car and walked and had no problems.
Am 100% sure the parking will be better next year and hopefully we won't get rain and snow.
The course was pretty demanding without being a killer; constant undulating and no massive hills.
I really enjoyed this race and will be back

In short: A brilliant experience
In full: This was my first race and a fantastic experience. 2 weeks of constant rain turned the normally hard packed dirt track into one long mud obstacle which really added to the challenge. Superb organisation, friendly atmosphere and I'll never forget the goosebumps I felt when I heard the cheering at the finish line whilst still 1km away!
