In short: Gem of a race. Highly recommended. In full: Small and perfectly formed trail run. Hard to think of a more charming run. Maybe more races were like before running became so popular. Amyway jighly recommended. Absolutely hassle free with easy parking. Beautiful downland countryside. Some nice views along the way. River very pretty. Genuinely friendly and welcoming organisers. In short: Good course, well organised In full: Interesting race the whole way along. Personally I would prefer a medal than a commemorative pint glass but hey that's just me. Generally well organised apart from a delay in the start due to the lengthy queue for the toilet remaining before the start. Date of review: April 14, 2013

In short: A Hampshire Epic. There may be worse conditions than those on the 2013 plod... In full: ...but having just got through that today I cannot imagine what they are. I have just been trying to decide if it was the mud, relentless rain, trails turned to rivers, or, the hills that made it quite so brutal. Has to be the driving rain freezing your face so that it aches as the reward for hauling yourself up to the top of some epic hills. I almost cried when I saw 19 miles and realised I was going to make it! I was very proud to pocket my medal but it did make me smile that everything was so damned wet that the Porstmouth Joggers commemorative writing washed off. I did think why dont they run this incredible route in the summer months but then I guess that would not be the character of the plod.. Thanks to everyone involved. Highly recommend. In short: Superb run, great scenery to take your mind off the mud and climbs In full: Really enjoyable scenic trail marathon. I found it really tough but it is only the second marathon I have done. Wonderful rolling down land countryside. Some great views. Spot on marshalling. Only minor nighle not much food on offer. Could. Have done with some more bits like biscuits to scoff down.
