In short: Great race in a great place, loved the course
In full: Completed the 15k and finished 3rd which was a surprise, could probably do with attracting some more elite runners for next year. Really good atmosphere and organisation. The setting of Charterhouse School is pretty cool. The course was much better than I had expected, some great downhill sections, nice woodland trail and a couple of steep uphill sections. Great for those who like mud, not so for those in road shoes. Nice to get a T-shirt that I actually might wear in public. My only gripe: the prize for 3rd was a bit rubbish especially as I'd run 15k (guess I should have run faster). My friend Simon won the 5k race in his first event, can't wait to see the video of interview we gave afterwards, should be some 'TV gold' already looking forward to next years race.
