In short: Challenging, but great fun In full: First time night running, wont be the last, good event well organised, decent medal and tee, goodie bag could be improved. Overall, a good event and a steep learning curve, would definately recommend! Date of review: December 17, 2012

In short: Cracking! In full: First time in a half marathon and it wont be the last, even the false summits of the Orme didnt put me off, and did a respectable time too.
I echo the sentiments of the others, a bit too much queueing whilst cooling down, but nothing too major.
A decent medal and tee at the end was an adequate goody bag.
Were there any official rece photos taken?
Will be back next year though! Date of review: November 20, 2012

In short: Awesome! In full: This was my first event of any kind, and I loved every minute of it... It was everything I had expected and so much more, it was a test of mind body and soul. After the first half I was wondering if the Hell bit was just a marketing gimmick - in fact I heard a lady say that she wasnt muddy enough. How wrong I was, it got very interesting indeed! The lake was a surprise but as other reviews have said, you didnt have to stand in it if you ddidnt want to, but the untrodden route was the risk you took - it was chest deep in parts! yes it was freezing, and yes you couldnt feel anything below the waist, but come on, head down dig in and you soon warm up again. You signed up for a tough trail run in November! I will be definitely be doing it next year, and many other inbetween - suggestions welcome! Wouldnt of minded a brew at the end though, or did I miss that? Date of review: November 5, 2012
