In short: Race had its ups and downs. In full: Thanks to all the marshals for standing in the cold and their encouragement. Could have been worse, as I write this at 4pm its snowing. Thanks to Steve from Deal Tri for his praise in the last 200M. I was looking forward to a mug at the finish but got a medal, never mind most welcome. Loved the ups and downs. And thanks to all tha medics who were on standby. Will do this again next year. Date of review: February 10, 2013

In short: Fast and Friendly In full: Perfect running conditions, weather and track. Well organized and friendly race with a Santa medal and Christmas pud. Thanks to all the marshals, organizers and the 1000s of miners who put all the stuff there for us to run on! Definitely one for my diary next year. Merry Christmas all. In short: Will Be Back Next Year In full: Thanks to all the marshals, standing in the cold for hours. Even though I drove from Dover I found the direction signs to the event a great help. Don't know about the view though, all those expensive windmills standing there doing nothing even though the wind was blowing. Great end to the race with a quick sprint up the 'grassy knoll'. Apart from chilly patellae I enjoyed the whole event and will be back next year. Date of review: December 3, 2012

In short: What Hill? In full: This was my first half marathon. I had a great time. I thank all the people involved in organizing the event, the villagers for their support on the way round and the Tifosi at the finish. I agree with criticisms about the kids race and the jumbled start. As for all the fuss about inclines, well they are just part of the course which make it all the more interesting. I've got the bug now so I'm off to do the Folkestone Half and will certainly be back here next year. Date of review: August 30, 2012
