In short: Second time was better than the first
In full: Ran last year (2012) and this year I improved my time and we all had the benefit of a full road closure. It's challenging, but worth it when you go through the line.

In short: Can't fault the race or the organisation
In full: First official half marathon for me, so obviously a PB but I was faster than I had been in my 2 training runs despite having a sore knee.

Organisation was very good and the course is undulating but not too hard. Nice touches half way round with the humorous signs to give you a bit of a boost and its great to run downhill to the finish.

Good t-shirt and very competitively priced.

In short: A tough race, especially the fisrt 4 miles but brilliantly organised
In full: This was a special race for me as I was running it for my main charity, Prostate Cancer UK, who were also the race's chosen charity. We also ran past Ashgate Hospice, which is another charity I've raised money for. The first 4 miles is hard work but you can make time up down the hill and I ended up running more than 10 minutes quicker than I expected. The marshalling is excellent and the bottle of beer at the end is a bonus.
