In short: Great event - well organised, fast and scenic
In full: Many thanks PWAC - this is a brilliant event. Largely closed roads, great Marshalls, slick start and finish admin. Nice medal and goody bag. Fast course if you're that way inclined. Cannot fault it, and come back every year hoping for a pb. Club runners and beginners in equal measure.

In short: Great first effort for this new event
In full: Nice to have a new local event. Pretty much no frills, ie no finish clock, but very good supportive Marshalls. Route is mainly rural and flat with a couple of short climbs. Final footpath stretch through Hildenborough could get interesting if many people on it at once, as its a narrow stretch. Chose to run on road myself. Good event, mixed (very) fast people and beginners. Will be back next year. Good value as well, which is rare to say these days.
Mental horse/rider combo added interest, but thats the nature of the quiet lanes used for the race.

In short: Classic tester before a spring marathon. Pleasant, no frills coastal routes
In full: Do this event every year. Very good organistaion and lovely supportive Marshalls. Probably bulk of runners are club people, as is a Kent GP event. Its a classic test of current ability before a spring marathon, so would suit all levels. Route is pleasant mainly along coastal paths. Suprisingly undulating! Would say average in terms of value - medal, water, choc bar at the end.

In short: Great challenging 10 miler - pretty much do it every year. Certainly could do with some tweeks
In full: The course is really challenging - a proper 10 mile race - hills, scenic rural route. Not great value for money anymore. Think its popular because of its Kent GP status, as there is always a quality field.Prefer to get a mug! Probably will return as always looking to beat my previous times.

In short: My new favourite event
In full: First time at this superb event. Organisation was brilliant. The route is scenic and the hills are short and sharp. Really good support on the way. Nice medal from the wonderful Dame kelly. Great atmosphere - good mix of club runners and new runners. Easily the best Half Ive done - traffic free roads! Will be back next year. By the way, the individual mile markers were spot on , although we seemed to do 13.2miles in total.

In short: Always a great, superbly organised event- nice and fast
In full: White Oak tri team always stage a great race. Particularly like this race as the bike is fast and the run is 8k, so runners can do well. Good value for money. Superb marshalls - even though they had to brace the dodgy weather this year.

In short: The Sussex Marathon is a hill monster - but what a stunning route
In full: Well organised event. Beautifully scenic route, but never ending ups and downs. Really struggled in the 2nd half. Find the Beachy Head Marathon easier! Nice to get a quality medal and tech t shirt. Great marshalls and feed stations throughout.A few tweaks to the route would be nice - everyone was over on their Garmins - lose the extra 500metres. Great to have a quality marathon in this region.

In short: Great spring marathon prep
In full: Always a good tester before an April marathon. Once youve finished the loops at the start the route is mainly nice and scenic ( although undulating to say the least). Marshalls were great. PLenty of water, and the t shirt plus medal was welcome. Thanks Thanet

In short: Great no-frills event - getting a tad pricey for what it offers
In full: I like the challenging route offered. Wouldn't necessarily make the effort unless its a Grand prix event as it was this year. Took the train this year - no parking hassles! Hall was busy but it was freezing out, so what can you do.
Medal was a bit rubbish - preferred the mug in 2011. Wouldnt say value for money.
