In short: Well organised for a 1st marathon course
In full: I enjoyed this race, the course was scenic enough for a road marathon and the hills in the first half helped to keep in interesting!

The marshalls were all very nice and the crowd support was absolutely superb, really lifted you up.

Three little complaints however:

1) More toilets needed at the starts, the queues were huge so I didn't even bother and just went in the bushes (being a lady luckily they were empty!) Lots of non-runners in the queues which should have been sorted out by the organisers.

2) Not enough powerade stations, at least one more preferably two would be good throughout the course.

3) The meet up point at the end was quite a walk from the finish, very tough if you're legs has turned to lead!

Overall very happy though, well done to all who helped to organise it!

In short: Excellent marathon race again
In full: This is my second Three Forts and I would say it's definitely my favourite marathon, always very friendly and such a beautiful area to run in as well. The hills are always a challenge and make you want to come back for more! Organisation was superb as always so big thanks to the organisers and marshals.

In short: For those looking for something a little different...
In full: I enjoyed this race despite THAT hill, the ropes cutting my hands and the endless mud! Really not possible to run the whole lap though which is a little dissapointing. Great atmosphere and the organisation was fantastic!

In short: Excellent organisation but no mention of those hills!
In full: The race ran like clockwork, was well organised and marshalled and the route took you through some lovely countryside BUT it should have been listed as undulating and not flat as there were quite a few hills!

In short: Great race shame about the mud in August!
In full: This was my second time running this event, last time (2005) the course was bone dry and fairly fast but I think the bad summer put pay to that this time! Still a great event, the marshals were fab and the event was extremely well orgainised. Would definitely run it again!

In short: Tough but pretty hills made this race one to remember
In full: This was a really good event, very scenic which helped with the pain of lugging my legs up all of those hills!

The organisation was good although all three mile pointers were out acording to my GPS (and several others too) - just a minor gripe :o)

It's a tough race so don't expect to get a PB (unless it's your first marathon!) The atmosphere was friendly though and it was great chatting to other runners on the way round.

In short: Hardest 3 days ever...
In full: This was a well organised run which I thoroughly enjoyed, it was extremely tough with some of the steepest hills I have ever seen in an event! The scenery was stunning though and the organisation was spot on, we were all very well looked after. I would definitely recommend this for more experienced runners.

In short: Even more of those killer hills this time!
In full: Thanks for another great race, even though another lap of Box Hill had been added in! It was a lovely day, well oprganised as usual and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite the lung-burning climbs. That's what we were all there for really ;-)

In short: Another very happy race at Abingdon!
In full: This was my third year running this race, and I got a PB too which I was really pleased with. The atmosphere was fantastic and very welcoming once again, and the route was well organised and marshalled despite the problems in the town centre (which I uderstand were due to the police overriding the planning!) I will be back again next year for sure :-)

In short: It doesn't get any easier the more times you run it ;-)
In full: This was my second go at the 21km route and was every bit as hard as last year. Fantastic race, very hard and hilly but the scenery is gorgeous and the organisation spot on. Would highly reccomend!
